About the Position:
ROMTech, through its subsidiary ROMTherapyTM, delivers an innovative, first-in-kind Home-Based Cardiac Rehabilitation program through the use of telemedicine and connected medical devices. Our team is now looking for a Sr. Cardiac Patient Coordinator who can lead all administrative aspects of patient care coordination for this innovative program.
The Sr. Cardiac Patient Coordinator (“CPC”) works under the direction of the VP, Clinical Services and closely with the Cardiac Rehab Manager. They manage the patient intake process through effective communication and collection of information and perform a variety of administrative functions in support of outpatient rehab/specialty services. The CPC is the primary access point for patients and is responsible to ensure that the patient receives timely, efficient, and compassionate customer service. The CPC also manages the chart/record throughout the patient’s interaction with ROMTherapyTM and ensures accurate and timely preparation, data entry, scanning, filing, and cross-checking of daily work. The CPC is responsible for performing these functions in a manner that optimizes patient flow, maximizes departmental efficiencies, ensures accurate revenue, and promotes outstanding customer satisfaction from patients, cardiac rehab specialists, supervising physicians and referring providers.
Responsibilities
- Schedules patients in a way that optimizes accurate information and patient flow.
- Coordinates the schedules of cardiac rehab specialists (CRS), supervising physicians and tech support personnel.
- Coordinates the initial evaluation process for all new patients.
- Completes patient intake, including securing appropriate documentation for all visits.
- Processes all calls, manages voice mail and forwarding of phones and places daily reminder calls to patients.
- Acts as the face of our program with our referring provider base’s office staff, promotes a “client comes first” attitude in interactions with referring providers offices.
- Performs other duties as assigned (clinical data entry, coordinating technical support for Cardiac Rehab Specialists, generating performance reports, supply ordering, etc.).

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of proven work experience in a patient-facing healthcare administration role, including patient coordinator, scheduling coordinator, cardiac rehabilitation program administrator, etc.
- Strong proficiency in EMR/clinical practice management software
- Experience in a center-based cardiac rehab setting strongly preferred
